Currently, there is a church in a town that Drobin
received in 1477. The present temple has existed since 1478 and was founded by the
owner of Drobin Ninagniew Kryski, who died leaving a duty to complete
construction of the church to his son. The Parish in Drobin has about 12,000
parishioners. The Parish has a bell tower which was looted in 1916 and damaged
by Germans who took three large bells. The bells were in poor condition. Father
Andrew Kucharczyk replaced them with new ones that had the initials of St.
Christopher, St. Stanislaw Bishop and Martyr of St. Stanislaw Kostka.

Drobin is a small town, in which unfortunately
there are no clubs, higher education or gallery. You can find here, however, the
Primary School and Secondary School, pizzeria and kebab. Young people may spend
their free time in some ways, but most prefer going to bigger cities to be able
to develop, entertain or do some shopping. It would be great if the authorities
tried to deal with some more types of entertainment for young people to make
them spend some more free time here.

Secondary School Events
In our school from many years, school events are
organized by students. One of the events is the 3rd grade students’ Prom where
young people and teachers have fun together. Every year we celebrate the Christmas
Eve. We give greetings, sing carols and spend lots of nice time together. In
our Secondary School, 2nd grade prepares celebration for the 1st
grade students to meet them in a special way at our school. Students from 1st
grade perform ridiculous tasks to become legal members of the school. Secondary
School also organizes special events such as National Education Day, Children's
Day, Halloween, etc. Our school is very interesting and there is always
something going on here, the students are always at glad with every event.

Every year, during the last
weekend of holidays, our local citizens celebrate the harvest time. The event
is getting more and more popular and more people come to have fun year by year.
The organizers always try to do something special. This year (2010) there were many
boys bands playing for us. Everyone was interested in the shows. Young people
could use carousel at the time. The climate was so nice and the sun obviously was
shining. All in all, that was holiday time. Unfortunately, the festival had to
be stopped because vandals who were drank came to ruin our fun and vandalize
our park.

Drobin is a small town. Next
to the church there is the municipal office, located close to the park. The park - just a few years ago it
was full of green space where local kidsplayed soccer and ran. However, municipal
authorities have decided otherwise,
and restructured the park in 2010. It is a modern place lined with paving
stones and equipped with an
elegant fountain and benches. Naturally, it
looks beautifully. True, there have been some
elements of green but this isnot the same as before. So we have to decide ourselveswhether we prefer green, incidentally, less attractive or lessa modern park with its quantity.

Evolution
of the Secondary School in Drobin
In my school coincide so many changes. School
has a new languages lab with new desks and Interactive Whiteboard. The Head Teacher
bought to my school laptops, projectors and new computers to the IT lab. The newly
chosen Head Teacher is amazing, we have a chance to participate in a project –
Follow Pitagoras. School got so much money to spend for the project. My school
gives me and other students more lessons on: Maths, Biology, Geography, German,
IT, English, etc. We have these lessons apart from the compulsory classes. The
Head Teacher has bought cameras and motion-picture camera. I am very happy
because this is very comfortable and pleasure for me as well as other students
from the Secondary School in Drobin.

For our spare time, Drobin can offer us some fun. One
of them is fully-equipped public and and school libraries. We may also use the
Internet there. Moreover, there is a pizzeria and kebab opened till late hours.
For the sporty ones, we have a sports hall called MOSiR, where one can work out
in the gym. Women, for instance, may organize fitness classes.
